precordial catch syndrome- left sided chest pain coming and going can point to it

Precordial Catch Syndrome- Does Anyone Get It

Hi there every so often I will get a really sharp pain in the left side of my chest. I can always put my finger on it it lasts for about 3 seconds and then goes away. It happens about every 10 minutes I keep on thinking it is something awful but my doctor says it is either muscular or precordial catch syndrome. Im 40 I thought I was too old for that.

I get sharp pains in my chest now and again if that is any consolation. I heard it is caused by the chest muscles being constantly tense. Any chest pain is scary but if your Doc has said don't worry, you have to trust them or you will spiral into panic. (happened to me over chest pain)

Thanks Nico I have had this for over a year and I am still here !! A nervous wreck but still here.
