popping sensation

above my right ear and just behind the temple there's a popping sensation I keep getting it will be random like there's no rythm to it sometimes it will pop twice in quick secession. When I apply pressure on it I.e trying to go sleep on pillow I can feel it more. What the hell is it?
further notes, I been having tension type headaches for thr past week. Thanks

Popping sounds quite often come from the ears. I wonder whether you have a sinus problem like sinusitis as you've also mentioned a headache? Have you recently had a cold??

If it doesn't clear up, I would pop along and see your doctor as they will be able to help you :) :hugs:

Hi saw my doctor last week, the spasm/popping is coming from around the temple area not from the ear, it may be sinitus as I have tinnitus too. I only went to see the doc about the tinnitus my headaches came after :p I don't think I have a full blown cold.. however I did have a sore throat day before I got my tinnitus so not sure, and I don't have a runny nose
