i have the virus & my pulse is 100bpm or just over.

Is this normal. freaking out

Hi Peter are you keeping your fluids up? Increased pulse rate could be a sign of dehydration which you are likely to get with norovirus.

Being anxious about it is also going to keep your pulse rate high. It might have just been a normal speed up of your heart, you noticed it and now you are keeping it high. I've done to before!

im trying. but im very hot too. that would raise my pulse right?

The thing most likely to raise your pulse is being anxious/stressed/worried. Concentrating on your pulse will cause these things, which will then increase your pulse (ironically). You're much better off ignoring it altogether - if your heart is beating, you're fine :)

I agree with what the others have said:)

Also sometimes if we have a fever our heart rate can increase, it's a normal thing to happen if you've got a fever :) :hugs:

Thanks guys, awoke at 5am this morning. Think im starting to get over it. I dont feel so hot and my pulse between 70-80bpm :)

That's good to hear Peter. Anxiety is hard enough to deal with without feeling ill as well. I had a really bad cold before Xmas and felt 10 times worse. Justified man flu :yesyes:
