Hi everyone,
having left my full time job due to anxiety am now waiting for supply work [I'm a teacher]. I should be relaxed now and happy but no, don't be silly! No panic attacks but mornings are the pits. I wake up very, very low feeling useless and it takes most of the morning until I feel any sense of normality. I knew leaving my job would be hard [I love the kids, the school and my friends] but I feel it is a bit like grief.

Any words of advice at all? Am on 20mg Prozac, beta blockers [for high bp and anxiety] and 10mg Amitriptyline at night. Thanks

I am currently still working (also a teacher) getting ready now, but you are not alone, everyday morning is a struggle, and even on the weekends I wake up feeling like a nervous wreck. Usually as the day goes on I get a little better, but I can't beat those darn mornings. Hope you feel better soon. :hugs:

Me too, just into work now and it is such a struggle in the morning. I almost didn't go in today, but made myself. Hope you feel better

:hugs:Thanks guys, not having a good one today - what is it with teachers and anxiety/ depression? I must admit I thought once I had stopped full time I would feel better straight away. Guess it doesn't work like that, too simple. Thanks for your support, x
