Help! Is this normal?

I've had a bad cold for the last few days with lots of phlegm and mucus. A few minutes ago my ears felt full (like on a plane), so I plugged my nose and blew. I had the worst screeching noise in my right war drum, and I felt like I was immediately off balance. Did my inner ear just throws eliquibrium off briefly? Or am I having a heart attack/ stroke?!??

It was your ear mate, nothing at all to worry about!! I get so congested and blocked in my sinus/ears every time I have a cold!

You not having a heart attack or stroke because you did that. its totally your ear. remember your balance is in your ears. so when you have ear infections or even when you get your ear syringed, you go off balance. hope your ok now. xx

I'm with the ears. Cold, ears, balance, funny noises - they're all connected and should settle as the cold subsides. Hot drinks with lemon help me.
