restless legs

can anyone tell me why I 've just started having restless legs.they will not keep still and they are driving me mad as I am trying to get to sleep.x

I get a mild form of this sometimes, usually it's an annoying ache and or an urge to move and streach my legs.

Are you on any medication? Some times things like SSRI antidepressants and even antisubmarine can cause it. Or stopping a medication recently.

It's highly genetic too, do any of your family members have it?

Another cause may be being low on Iron or B vitamins as they keep your nervous systems healthy so if you are low it can cause a lot of odd and random sensations.
