I am new and had been on 40mg fluoxetine for some time , but not doing any good so have just started sertraline 50mg , I was a bit supprised to just carry on without a gap , but only just started 4 days.

Hello and welcome to the forum. It's not unusual to go from fluoxetine straight to another AD because fluoxetine has a long half life, so it stays in your system for days, therefore negating the need for cross--tapering.
