Hyperventilating and now heartburn

Hiya. I have been having bad problems with hyperventilating for over a week now, usually it only lasts a few days at a time but I still can't get rid of it at the moment.

I now also have really bad heartburn and acid reflux. Does anyone know if this is because of constant hyperventilating or is it a separate issue I am now going to have to try and fix?

I hyperventilate daily and also have acid reflux. I don't see how the two would be connected, but you could talk to your doctor about it. I take Omeprazole for my stomach. I am doing relaxed breathing exercises and muscle relaxation to combat my hyperventilating. Distraction helps too, when you are busy you don't have time to check your breathing.
