My family keep saying to me "snap out of it" even though they know i've had mental health issues for over 11 years and it winds me up so much!!! If snapping out of it was that easy do they not think i would have already done it?

Does anybody else say that to anybody? how do you handle it? i find it really frustrating and its gets me mad. if i could just stop feeling like this, trust me, i would!

I have had that said to me and I think the same..if only it was that easy! It is hard to comment because someone who hasn't experienced it cannot really understand how difficult it is and how much it affects your life. I have said to people before "Think of a time in your life when you have felt really afraid of something, well that is the feeling I have 24/7!

I hated this too and tried to hide my anxiety away from people all the time.

You can't simply snap out of this, it takes a bit of time and effort but it can be done.
