Hi I apologise in advance for the length of this post.
So basically about 6 weeks ago I noticed I was getting quite a bit of pain in my right side, at the time I was also having constipation so I went to the doctor who advised I have an ultra sound incase of possible gallstones. So that was that but the pain continued so I went back, she sent me for full blood work which all came back normal. A week later I ended up going to my local out of hours doctor because because I almost had to leave work because I was doubled up in pain which was coming from my right side and pelvic region, they made me do a urine sample and said I had a uti and gave 3 day course of antibiotics. After I'd taken them all I was still in agony so again went back to my own doctor. Who prescribed me stronger antibiotics which were effective for treating kidney infections and she also put my ultrasound scan date forward and request I have my urinary tract checked as well as my pelvis and abdomen. During this time I was still in pain in my side and the other day I was walking up the stairs and got this agonising cramp in my left kidney area, I didn't think anymore of it and got on with things. The next day I was at college and had to leave early as the left side pain was so bad. I booked an urgent doctors appointment but my regular doctor wasn't in so I had to see someone else he checked my urine again and said no infection was still present. I got the vibe he didn't believe a word I was saying and sent me away with painkillers and muscle exercises. Today was the day of my ultrasound so I went with my mum and they checked my gallbladder, right side, both kidneys and pelvis but I have to wait 3 days for the results, if there was anything seriously wrong do you think they would have said there and then? Because after the scan my mum wanted to go shopping so we did and I experienced this agonising pain again around my left kidney when breathing in it was so sharp, feels like a stitch under the ribcage but its so sharp and sore, I almost passed out with the pain so my mum drove me home. Throughout this whole experience my anxiety has been through the roof I'm extremely extremely worried about my health to the point I have been crying myself to sleep every night and literally becoming depressed. I keep having these racing thoughts that I may have pancreactis, kidney infection/disease, heart problems liver problems, infected gallbladder leading to septicaemia, I just don't know anymore. It doesn't help that my brother had similar symptoms to me for months when he was diagnosed with lymphoma at the same age as me (18) right now I'm in so much pain don't see the point in going back to the doctors because I know they won't do anything for me. If it gets worse should I go to A&E? HAs anyone ever experienced this sort of thing with their anxiety? I'm just so worried its something life threatening I don't have a fever or been vomiting but I just can't help but worry and I'm scared that I am dying I just wish I could feel ok :( Anyway any opinions or advice would be helpful, thank you - Danielle.

I'm sorry I haven't seen your post before. I hope that you have felt much better since then. If you are, you need to see your GP for your and your familiy's peace of mind. Your GP will be understanding after what your brother has been through.

Good luck to you.

It's good you had the ultra sound done, that would have up a lot!
if you got a full blood work that would show up any infection, virus, if your livers healthy and all that.

it might be related to your reproductive system, I had bad sharp pains in my ride side that turned out to be ovary pain. I would keep a log of where you are in your cycle.
There's lots of apps/programs you can download to help you track your cycle.

yep urine samples will show up UTIs so that maybe have played a part in the pain.
I do wonder if maybe you had/have a kidney stone?
I had kidney stone pain only a few times, but when it came on it was like a very bad pain in my back, that spread to my side and bladder area. I mean so bad I ended up on the floor panting!

if you have been sexually active go get a FULL STD test.
They are free clinics that do them, try google searching for some.
They will check for everything, most STDS are easily cureable :)

since you are in pain, pains hard to prove : (
Try the doctors, maybe see if you can get a CT or an MRI scan, or to see a doctor that's more of specialist that will help figure out what is going on.

If you have a good ER where they might run more tests and help with finding out the problem then maybe you could try there.
