I started at the end of November with full on spinning vertigo when I went to get up out of bed. I was getting it when I turned left/right and up or down and when i layed down and during the day I felt off balance like bobbing on a boat and also bad brain fog and pressure in my head. My gp thought I had positional vertigo and referred me to an ent specialist which I see on 7th April. I was also prescribed some tablets which I started taking and after a couple of weeks the bobbing on a boat feeling faded but I was still getting the vertigo when I turned etc.
Anyway over Xmas the vertigo seemed to lessen and I stopped taking the tabs and my foggy head cleared.
But last Monday night while laying in bed my head went funny like a brain zap and I went all dizzy again and I panicked and went hot and shaky. My heads awful again and off balance and short bursts of vertigo if I move my head, foggy head and pressure in my temples and strange pains in my head.
I can't stop thinking its m.s or a tumour and I keep thinking it takes that long to be seen that it will be too late. I don't see the ent until next thurs and I know if he doesn't find anything then I will have to wait again to be referred somewhere else.
My gp thought it was bppv(positional vertigo) but I have read you don't get headaches with it.
