Do’s and Do Not’s - Private Messages (pm’s) on No More Panic
We would appreciate it if you keep to these guidelines when using the Private Messaging facility on No More Panic. Any abuse of these guidelines may lead to warnings/bans being given
DO - stop sending PM's to a member if you are asked to do so by them; it is up to a member if they wish to receive PM’s from you.
DO - be polite in your PM’s; remember that anyone from the age of 14 can be a member on NMP.
DO – PM members if it is more applicable than starting a thread on the forum e.g. Asking how a members medical appointment went (they may not want to share this publicly on the forum)
DO – send a message to one of the Administrators if you have any problems and concerns while you are on NMP
DO NOT – give out any personal information in PM’s unless you feel 100% comfortable in doing so
DO NOT - use PMs as a dating network, there are other websites and messaging services to do that, yes we know this happens as all sorts of messages have been accidentally sent back to Nic!
DO NOT – Use the PM network to abuse or bad mouth other members
DO NOT – ask another member to send a PM on your behalf.
DO NOT – ignore messages from Administrators of No More Panic, if they send you a PM there is normally a reason behind it that needs a response.
DO NOT - Publicly post or otherwise share PMs with other users unless you have the expressed permission of the sender to do so. Private Messages are intended to be just that - private.
DO NOT – 'Spam' people, send those links that they do not want or try to sell products/services to them.
NMP is not responsible for any external links sent to you via PM ……. If you are sent a link then it is YOUR choice if you wish to click on the link.
Many Thanks
NMP Admin Team.
