My name is Sayed & the last 4 & a half years have been painfull. I suffer from anxiety and depression I think or so the doctors say. It started back in August 2007. Spent a year visiting doctors and specialists trying to find out why im feeling these horrid symptoms. Done every test possible but no doctor can provide me with a correct prognosis until a friend of mine suggested it might be a psychological issue and I should visit a psychologist. I thought tomy self it can't be a psychological issue with all these symptoms present. It has to be a brain tumor or something serious. Any way I visited a psychologist and straight away I was diagnosed with anxiety. He Prescribed me fluoxetine and with in 3 months I was back to my normal happy self symptoms free. 2 years past symptoms free & in that time I got married and had a gorgeous baby boy and really progressed in my job and life was brilliant until I decided to visit my gp and discuss coming of the fluoxetine. I was on 40 mg and the gp & I decided to drop down to twenty. With out me knowing and with out the GP telling me that I'm supposed to cut down gradually,I went from 40 to 20 straight away. 2 weeks later I've had the worst anxiety symptoms I've ever experienced, withdrawal effects. I was off work for 2 weeks and bed bound. It's been over a year and I'm really struggling to get back to my normal self again. I still get anxiety attacks every fewdays and at the moment I'm not enjoying life. I'm back on 40mg fluoxetine along with pregabalin and trazadone to help me sleep at night.

Any way enough with my depressing story and thanks for reading my thread. I've come across this site while browsing and I hope to meet fellow people who may be able to provide some advise and help.

Have a god day.
