Work meeting - group anxiety!!

Well i didnt have the best day at work today so i wasn't really looking forward to this staff meeting tonight.

Anyway i felt like i'd dissapointed myself as i didn't talk AT ALL. I was in a bad mood and didn't feel like talking let alone laughing/joking :(

I don't come across as a grumpy person so i feel like i let people down when i dont talk but like i have nothing to say /and/or im scared or group situations.

When someone asked me a question of my opinions my mind blanked!! and before i could even think someone else had answered for me.

Anyone else get this anxiety? it seemed pretty severe tonight and worst thing i was going to bail out but decided to go because it would do me good.... obv not *huge sigh*

I often get this too, basically I've sufferred throughout my life because of my social inadequecies, at school, in work at meetings & the shop floor (factory), my mute like behaviour is down to my low self esteem, because of possible mild aspergers & my sheltered upbringing certainly did'nt help, hence my only 'happy' childhood memories consist of kid's TV programmes.
