fluxetine and heart burn?

Hi all

Im on 60mg and take my tablets when I get inbto bed - recently they have been giving me hartburn - anyone else had this? xxxx

Hi I have been having heartburn on 20mg per day. Dont know if it is the fluox or not but only started after I started meds. Doc has prescribed me advanced strength gaviscon and thats working

Yes I get this, the only thing I find works is to eat something after I've taken the tablet.

I usually take mine evenings so have it just before my dinner, or when I used to take them mornings, I'd have it before breakfast.

Don't know why but if I don't eat I get really painful heartburn with them.

Heartburn on Prozac - you bet! The advice above is good - try and eat with the pills, or swallow with milk. I can recommend 'Gavilast' pills (similar to Gaviscon but work for longer). I am on 20mg a day and if I forget to eat or drink milk, my stomach is alight within seconds...
