Omeprazole update

I've been on omeprazole 2 weeks, i still cough although MUCH less but i when i do i still get the choking sensation, although i haven't had it extreme for about 3 days or so, i can now sleep lying down and my speech sounds normal, as is swallowing etc...

BUT

I still get all this thicky felm stuff in my throat when i try to clear it and ofr some reason its WORSE when i'm cold, when i'm warm its much better :/ is this normal?

Also,

i don't smoke regularly, i have about 5 cigars a YEAR!!! thats it, stupidly had one last night and now its all gone worse again today :( will this eventually go?

is it normal to still have symptoms after 2 weeks?
