Sore throat for weeks

Hi all,

Ive had a sore throat for a few weeks now. Into my 4th week i think.

Just hurts when i swallow. Im well otherwise but it does seem weird that its still there.

is this normal? Should I see a doc? 4 weeks does seem a long time! :shrug:

I've had a sore throat and burning in the top of my mouth for 6 weeks now and my anxiety has been so high. My adrenilin is through the roof. All my skin is warm and burning most of the time so the doc says its anxiety related but he did also say there is alot of sore throat symptoms that are lasting 5 or 6 weeks at the moment so it could be either. Hope that helps:)

Cheers for that. I went to see my GP this evening and he said throat seemed fine, but has given me anti biotics.

It freaked me out because on the NHS website it says sore throats lasting longer than 4 weeks can be a sign of something more serious like throat cancer!

So u can imagine how I panic with that.

The doc says throat looks normal but when I look, it looks red and sore to me!

Hi I have had a sore throat on and off now for 6 weeks and had 3 lots of antibiotics and it just wont go. I am so worried maybe its anxiety I am besides myself with worry x
