Periodically unable to read

This is hard to describe, but I'll do my best. Basically every so often I get strange bouts of forgetfulness where it feels as though I'm unable to read or write. Some days I'll be perfectly fine, but other times I'll momentarily "forget" what letters and words mean. Like I'll be in the middle of reading a sentence when suddenly I'll stop and stare at a word, and I honestly can't decipher what the word is. Sometimes I'll even try to read it out loud and I say an almost completely different word instead. After a few seconds it seems to pass and I can read normally again, but it happens again a minute or two later.

I don't know if this is much information to go on, but it's hard to describe how it feels when it occurs.
