I've always enjoyed medical programmes on TV, especially seeing skilled surgeons performing miracles on people, but perhaps I should have realised that watching the new programme Brain Doctors on BBC2 last night was a mistake whilst I'm struggling with a bout of anxiety.
I was feeling pleased with myself yesterday, and hoping I might be on the mend at last, but then this morning woke up early and suddenly found myself putting myself in the position of one the severely ill patients on the programme. Panicked completely to the extent I woke up my husband and he calmed me down quite quickly. Not feeling too bad now, but scared I'll do the same thing again.
But lesson learnt I think - I won't watch next week!
