I saw the ent specialist today and I had an hearing test which was fine, he checked inside my ears and they were fine. He did neuro tests and they were fine, he laid me on a table to see if it caused me to be dizzy and that was fine.
I told him my concerns about a brain tumour and he said the was nothing to suggest that I have anything going on in my brain and that I should take reassurance in that.
He thinks I had benign positional vertigo which is crystals that break off in your ear and cause the dizziness and they can dissolve on there own and he thinks there might be a few tiny ones left and that's why I am still a little off balance.
I hope I feel reassured for longer than a few days and dont think why didn't he send me for a scan and I should have told him this and that etc.

I am pleased to hear that everything is fine and hope that you can stop worrying about it now. If he had thought there was a need for a scan he would have sent you.

I would feel very reassured he did not send you for a scan, he would have only done that if he felt that your symptoms warranted it. I am pleased that nothing sinister is responsible for your symptoms. :)

Yes it would be great news to someone without health anxiety but I still keep thinking I wish he had sent me for a scan. What are we like!!
