Am new to this

My name is Lyn and I have been feeling anxious for about a year now. I suffer from Mennieres Disease and Ihad a very bad vertigo attack at the begining of the year.

This has left me feeling even more anxious. I lost my father (aged 98) in September after he had been unwell for 18 months.

My Doctor has prescirbed me Sertraline tablets (50mg) which I have been taking for 2 weeks and I wondered if anybody knows how long they would take to start, am still very anxious and my whole body feels like it is shaking.

Hi Poppy,
Welcome to the site. Most anti depressants take at least three weeks before you feel the beneficial effects, but they really can help so it's worth sticking with it. I wish you all the best.
