pinching sensation down my right side

I keep getting a sharp pinching sensation now and again down the right side of my body from my ribs to just above my hip bone. I also feel as if I have a tight band around my ribs as well sometimes which doesn't hurt but is just uncomfortable. It isn't in the stomach area but on my right side. Now I obviously think I have liver/kidney/pancreatis (sp) cancer:)! but I know deep down this can't be true. I'm just wondering if anyone else has these sensations, it's constantly in the back of my mind and I'm going away with the kids next week and really don't want to be worrying about this so much.
