Pregabalin on an 'as needed' basis?!

i was just wondering if pregabalin could be taken on an 'as needed' basis rather than daily; and if so, is it still effective?!

My feeling would be that, no, it needs to build up in the system to be effective (but I'd be more than happy to hear any evidence otherwise).

Sorry, I have never heard of that, I would agree with Hanshan, it needs to build up in your system, I am not a doctor though, listen to your GP.

The official documentation states that it needs to be taken for 4 weeks to expect to feel any beneficial effect, although some people feel improvement earlier. It was certainly 4 weeks for me.

That said, they have a very short half-life so I really notice when I've missed a dose.
