I haven't had one but my husband probably has. It checks the levels of troponin and creatine kinase. These are often checked when people have chest pains.

And if it comes bk ok your heart is ok?

Yes, if it comes back with high levels they may do other tests but otherwise you will be fine.

When do you have the test?

I have it when I go to hospital as I have had a heart attack as you know.

If it comes back ok they let me go as they know it is not heart related.

Troponin is released when your heart has suffered some form of damage such as a heart attack so if your levels come out normal (think its under 20) there is no sign of heart damage.
