Recently I have found myself drinking alcohol, which I never normally do. I have found I can feel normal for the first time after a few shots and generally find life more enjoyable. Also my health anxiety symptoms seem to subside somewhat, like no chest pains, or weird feelings. I am only 17 and am aware this is not the way to treat anxiety, but I wanted to ask you guys your thoughts. It is the only thing that works so far.

It's not a good idea to get reliant on alcohol to subdue symptoms, as you may end up adding alcoholism to your list of problems ;) !!

I know what you mean though, alcohol is a great relaxer and can get rid of so many symptoms that plague is when sober. It can, however, cause many unwanted symptons the day after such as palps.

Medication is a much better option if you find you are unable to cope. Speak to your doctor who may prescribe, or may refer you for cbt, or maybe both. But don't get used to using drink as a cure x
