Hi
I have had this twice now and it really freaks me out. It's a visual disturbance on waking of many large black 'suns' (each one looks like an eclipse - black circle with light around it) all around the peripheral vision.
Had my eyes checked 4 times, twice at eye casualty - all ok, no blind spots etc.
Both times I had been drinking the night before and both times within half an hour they were gone.
I have migraine aura, (occular/ silent migraines) but I've had that for years and it feels very different (the typical arc with zig zags flashing herringbone and scintilating scotoma) I only get occular migraines if I skip a meal the night before and have more stress than usual.
The doctor didn't seem worried, but couldn't explain it either.
Anyone had similar at all?
Thanks
