Hey,
Firstly gotta say an amazing forum, and seems to be a great selection of people that all gather here. Read a few topics and already feel reassured but that never stops one!

The other day had a chest pain, once again around the left breast region had a sharp pain for a little bit and then it just became a dull pain nothing that hurt just knew it was there. Feeling fine now but just had me worrying and I remember when I did it increased and that when my mind was on something else I totally forgot about it. My muscles around the shoulder felt very weak and tired even though I had done nothing, automatically ( internet is a dangerous place ) I believed something was wrong with my heart. Is this just anxiety or something else?

Thanks in advance

Aarron

Hi Aarron and welcome to the forum. Yes the internet is a dangerous place, you must try not to google. You might have pulled a muscle which can sometimes feel like it is in the heart region, also indegestion can travel around and cause this type of pain, anyway I'm sure you are fine, if symtoms come back again, it might be a good idea to get checked out by a dr just in case. But I'm sure it's just our good friend anxiety.

Take care,

Polly

Hi Aaron.....I went to my first Anxiety Management Group yesterday and as part of the session we had to explain what happens to our bodies when we feel worried and anxious. There were six of us all together and every one of us said that at some point we get chest pain, then you worry about the chest pain and it increases. I always get it in my left side. The leaders of the group told us exactly what happens to your body when you become anxious and the heart pumps blood round the body rapidly, due to the adrenalin, that could be why you are getting the chest pain. Easy to say and hard for us lot on here to do, but try not to worry. Once you can understand what is happening to your body it makes things alot easier. hope this helps and that I haven't rambled a load of rubbish xxxx

Thanks for the replies. Yeah it was a shock when it first happened, and I have always worried about silly things, so im guessing it has just finally caught up with me.

Im just going to try and relax and take it easy, not thinking about it seems to work even though it sounds silly.

Its mad to think so many people experience these problems, and you never hear about it. and im sure its not something alot of people feel comfortable in telling.

I hope its anxiety because it is not persistent.

Thanks for the lovely welcome.

Already from reading the previous threads I have been stretching more than often and my whole left shoulder area and it was feeling very tight. From stretching it relieved alot of the tension.

Played pool and didnt even think about it, and there was no tension at all. Its so silly because after I thought about it I had a little pain come back. Cant believe to be fair that it is all in the mind..
