Hi I recently been put in a weight training class in school which has bikes elliptical a ect with metal parts where you put your hands and they take your heart rate and I only do the bikes and treadmills since I lift weight everyday after school anyways.

Well today I checked my heart rate when I got in there not even working or anything and was between 90 and 100 and my friend was like 70-80 even in the 60s and I'm pretty fit for a 16 year old a lot more fit than my friend. When I barely start workings it over 100 and sometimes over 110 and his only goes up like to 80.

Is my heart rate abnormal should I get it checked out?

A 'normal' resting heart rate for adults is 60-100 a minute and it will go over that when your exercising anyway, maybe you could check it at different times of the day to see if there's any difference? were you anxious at the time too because that can make it go faster. If your worried about it then you should go to the doctor just to see but everyones different :)

everybodys hear rate varies for diffrnt reasons the more anxious you are the higher it will be my heart rate is up at the minute watching this liverpool match lol
