Why is this drug not prescribed as much as others?:huh:

In the USA, it was not available in the generic form until this year so I think that is why. When I was prescribed it, my doctor said it just went generic and before they would prescribe zoloft because that was cheaper for the patients than the name brand of lexapro. I think it is increasing now!

I'd say cost too.....regular Citalopram is defo lots cheaper than the newer version Escitalopram so I am so pleased my doctor let me have it. How are you Bab? Have you decided to still try and come off?
