Bruising still there after a wk!

Last Sunday I fell off my daughters scooter and thumped my leg above my foot on my leg. It's been a full week and the bruise is still there large as life barely changed colour!!

Why hasn't it began to fade yet? I'm scared its leukaemia or something.

Bruises can take a long time to go. I fractured my foot and some of the bruising was still there 4 months later. A week for a bruise not to change colour is not unusual.

I still have a bruise almost a week after a blood test. So a bruise a week after a great big thump to the leg is not at all surprising and very normal!
