Hello - yet another newbie!

I am mum to three girls and have suffered with anxiety problems/panic attacks for about 13 years now. My main fears are a blood phobia (and things related to that such as needles, dentists and doctors) and I also have a fear of fainting when having a panic attack!

Look forward to speaking to others and also hope to be able to offer advice and support at the same time.

welcome! im blood phobic too, but not as bad as some others, i can just deal with small amount on myself, but any ting else big like a sudden cut, im freaking out, and if i see anyone else have an injury or bleed, im freaking also.
I had a huge fear of fainting when i have a panic attack, but my therapist told me that its simply not possible as your blood preasure rises, when u faint, your blood preasure drops. The only exception to fainting as a phobic reaction is injury or blood phobia *GREAT NEWS HUH??!!!! NOT!* BUT!!!! i was given a little exercise.... when you get that feeling {the sinking one before you faint} tense and un tense your fists {continuously} this get the blood pumping back up to the brain and there for, no fainting!!! its a wonder worker! dont have to worry about sitting down on the street with my head in my knees everytime i fear fainting now!

I was told exactly the same (about not fainting with a panic attack) although never been told about that exercise - thats great thanks will certainly try that!

I have fainted from a panic attack but that was also blood related as well, went to see the doctor about a tummy pain only for him to say he thought it was appendicitis - I felt strange had to lay down on the surgery bed and fainted and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance - where strangely enough they took blook from me and I wasnt bothered!

Always nice to know of others going through the same.
