Hi Everyone,

I learned something new today, sometimes a visit to the doctor is warrented. Don't assume it is withdrawal, especially after long time has lapsed. I am not saying go every week and if you GP tells you you are fine, believe him ... I am saying if it has been a long time and it is not getting better, maybe consider it.

I went to see my GP, just in case the vertigo/dizziness and nausea was not due to the withdrawal from citalopram but actually something wrong with me. It is now day 27 after the last dose and it was still quite intense.

Turns out I have an middle ear infection. Not much can be done about it, but the upside is I know it is not withdrawal and if it continues further steps can be taken. The biggest help is for me to know it is not withdrawal, and medically explained. It may take up to 6 weeks to get better, but at least there is a point at which I will feel better.

I don't see my GP often, but glad I did not keep writing how I was feeling off to withdrawal.
