I have a number of chronic symptoms. The one that's been really stressing me lately are the chronic pin prick and burning skin sensations that I get randomly all over my body every day, all day. It seems to be some kind of neuropathy. Last night, I started searching anxiety and chronic pain forums for others with similar symptoms, thinking this would help me feel better. After all, I wasn't researching diseases, just looking for those in a similar boat. But as I read people's posts, it only gave me more to worry about. In some cases, people would later follow up saying they were diagnosed with something serious. In other cases, they would talk about all the conditions their doctors had tested them for that could potentially cause nerve damage...some I hadn't considered, or that I had been trying not to worry about. Now I'm feeling even more confused than ever!

I have been to my family doctor and specialists about the nerve pains and other symptoms. They order tests, but still no answers. I know I have anxiety, but I also can tell that some of these chronic symptoms are more than that. And it is seriously stressing me out wondering what could be wrong but not knowing. I've had negative/normal glucose tests, thyroid tests, autoimmune disease tests, vitamin deficiency tests, Lyme tests, and so on. I just saw a new doctor last week who pretty much dismissed me, and that was after more than a month of waiting to get an appointment with her. I don't even know what to do next. I try to tell myself to just learn to live with the symptoms, but I can't help but still worry since I don't feel well. How can you be in pain/discomfort all day and not think about it?

And, of course, I don't even know how much stock to place in my negative tests and in my doctor's opinions. If you read about the tests online, you can see that none are completely accurate. So how do you know when to check something off your list? I have a little girl at home and a baby on the way. I just want to be healthy for them, and I am tired of being so worried all the time. It is sucking the life out of me.

Read 'at last a life' or just visit the website
i'm reading a book called overcoming worry its seems good

you have health anxiety by the sounds of it, using CBT you can ease it and get help. That's what you can do for your children, look after yourself and sort out your worry. I have worries and I have good days and bad. Keep a worry diary that can be helpful, set a time limit or a certain time in the day for worry
it's ok to let go of the worry and just be.

the pin prick feeling is caused by anxiety, it's all the adrenaline. I think you should stop researching your symptoms and keep telling yourself you are fine (i went to the doctors with something like this before and this is what they told me its anxiety)
maybe write them down and let them go
if you solve your anxiety you will ease the symtoms, there's no miracle cure, the trick is really to let it go and get on with life
