Just had appendix removed

This is a short post because I'm on a phone at my local hospital. My inflammed appendix is no more, and I've just been reading the Daily Mail to take my mind off the usual chest discomfort patients get after surgery. Big mistake. I saw an aerticle about a boy who.died a good while after having his own appendix removed because the site where the surgery took place scarred, twisted and burst. What are the odds of this happening to me? :(

I think the chances of that happening are VERY rare. Wishing you a speedy recovery :hugs:

I had my appendix out and no problem.

Sorry to double post again, but I've left hospital in a lot of pain in my abdomen, back, chest and left arm as well as nausea and gurgling noised. Is that normal when the appendix is gone? They pumped my gut so I can understand if there's trapped wind but the ab gurgling and pain is the same as BEFORE I had the operation done!!
