just a quick question do you think it helps you to cry

every night when my husband gets in from work i just start crying for about five mins and cant stop it like an over whelming sense of relife that hes home and safe allthough he does phone me during the day and i do try to get out during the day when i can its not that im lonely and i dont sit there wondering if hes ok it just comes apon me and i dont know why

also sometimes randomly i just have a good sniffle then i feel better

any way after ive had a cry i do feel a bit better can anyone else relate to this or is it just me :weep:

I find sometimes it helps to cry I think it's that release I need sometime but now iv found a different way of coping with things now which I need to stop.

I don't think there's anything wrong with having a cry if it makes you feel better after x

There is some scientific study (don't ask me for a link, I don't know just know I've heard it) that crying does make you feel better because it release toxins out of your body. Either way I always feel better after a good cry :hugs:

Yes, crying is good for you. There are several scientific theories about why this could be - one is that it releases endorphins (http://science.howstuffworks.com/life/endorphins.htm), a natural pain-killing chemical in the body which increases a sense of well-being. I often find that I feel better after I've cried, just as long as it isn't really intense crying (such as sobbing) - that makes me worse.
