View Full Version : NO SLEEP mind wont shut down
I've been trying everything you can think off to try and get some shut eye for months now.
The only way I do is with zopiclone, and I can't keep taking that for months and my go won't let me anyway. She already told me every now and then.
How you had problems where you mind won't switch off and what did you do???
As your antidepressant caused you to not sleep??
I bought a sound pillow (pillow with little speakers in) and I play sleep therapy music through it. It helps me to sleep. I downloaded the music from a website.
Thanks Anne
Done that got kindle and listened to hypnotherapy sleep download didn't work

The only way I can sleep is with the TV on
Can't do that sparkle OH would go mad,
I know exactly what you mean. Plus if I'm awake for too long I start fretting and getting frustrated. Only things that work for me seem to bad for me Would be nice if my mind worked like a normal persons in these situations:mad:

Tell him u will go mad first if u don't get some bloody sleep :)
Once I've been tossing and turning an hour, I get up and do something. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. After years of struggling when I have a sleepless night now I just try to accept it, it's just a night without sleep, I'll be fine.
I think my antidepressant helps me now to sleep better because I don't get as worked up about not sleeping well. I started taking it in the morning too because I was struggling with sleep when I increased my dose.
I'm not just talking a night I could put up with that.
Can't keep getting up others in the house, the house alarm would be going on/off all night waking others up too

I find listening to radio programmes helps- The Archers, The News Quiz, anything at all. I use earbuds and it never disturbs my husband xx
