I am really scared

Have seen a dermatologist today about a mole on my thigh that has got a little bit darker on part of it. He says he will remove it as the colour has changed.

I am really petrified, has anybody got any experience with this or had a mole removed. Please let me know.

My partner had one removed a few years back now.

Everything was fine. He was just left with a small scar where it was.

Yep I had one removed on my back about a year ago!
It had got bigger so the doc referred me and the surgen removed it.

No problems, just as local anesthetic and a few stiches, which were removed 2 weeks later.

Small scar, but it didnt hurt and the results were clear.

Dont panic, it is all very routine! xx

My daughter has a mole/birthmark about the size of your smallest fingernail on her back and she is actually going to have it removed this Thursday. Hers hasnt changed but we have become paranoid about it so after 8 years of pestering the doctors we are finally having it removed. Dont know when your appointment is but will keep you updated on how this goes and what happens to put your mind at rest.
