Very large bruise on thigh lithium related?

I have a very large bruise on my thigh. I walked into a drying rack at home so I know the cause. I have been swimming today and someone commented on it. I was wondering whether my medication (lithium) could be the reason why I bruise so easily. Bruise is about 4ins x 3ins approx. EJ

Could be a bit of both. You can bruise a bit easier on Lithium but that's nothing to worry about. Sometimes it all just depends on the hit we take! I tripped whilst walking up the stairs the other day and in the shower the day after I had a horrible black bruise on my upper arm! I didn't even think I bumped into anything that hard and I'm not on lithium.

The bruise will slowly go after a few days. A quick google check though tells us that there is an increased risk of bruising on lithium.
