Blood Test Results

Had a full blood count, thyroid function test and ferrous sebum (or something) done last week 'cos I was wingeing to my GP about my hair thinning.

Just called now and the results are:-

Full blood count - normal no action
Thyroid - normal no action
Ferrous whatsit - normal no action

So does that mean I can shut up and stop worrying now???? Ie if I did have any form of cancer, surely my full blood count would be up the wall?????!!!

Hi SB,

I had exactly the same results earlier in the year, FBC normal and tyroid was normal. They also managed to check from my blood that my bowel was ok too.

Well, I'm still here, so I'm sure there is nothing to worry about, easier said than done I know. When I asked my doc if the bloods would have shown up something, he replied "sure, there would be signs of something happening".

Try and focus in on the fact that this is really good news.
