Will I ever feel normal again it's been 6 months now

A little more info would help garner more replies.

Are you saying you've had depression for 6 months? Was it your GP or a psychiatrist that diagnosed you?

Are you on any medication, or read any self help books, taken CBT courses?

Long history
1995 off work with stress 4 mths Fluoxetine 20 mg until 2006 a few small episodes until 2006 off work again meds changed to cipralex 10 mg once a day had CBT
2012 oct off with depression cipralex increased in Dec 15 mg
Increased in Jan to 20 mg
Started having terrible nightmares so weaned off cipralex and now on venlaflaxine 75mg twice a day
I have had 5 sessions with a counsellor and currently on a list for the well being clinic.
