Hi Matilda!

I get the lump in my throat sensation too - it's horrid! I put it down to side effects of my ad's but it could well be the anxiety! I don't burp much but I yawn constantly (and never quite make it to a "proper all the way" yawn - very irritating!!!!!!)

All the best

Hi there :)
The stuck in the throat thing is quite a common symptom. I have had it last for days and it's really annoying!!! I wonder if the burping could be because you are so aware of the throat thing and you are swallowing alot more than usual ?
Hope it clears up soon for ya :)

Hi Matilda.

I get that too, and the yawning thing. For a couple of days I yawned so much my throat and neck ached and that made me feel sick too! This made me more anxious and I yawned even more. I spent the next day trying really hard not to yawn, and remembering to keep my mouth closed when I felt one coming. Its a bit like trying not to sneeze, but it really helped ease off the throat symptoms.

I think the burping, yawning and difficulty swallowing are something to do with the tension and the way we breathe when anxious. I find that its really hard to eat, but I can when I try hard, I know I must look after my body or it will not be able to help me get better.

Hope this helps.

Lisa.
