From lorazepam to Librium

Hi everyone

I've been on lorazepam (0.5mg three times a day) for a few months now. Doctor wants me to come off it and has suggested Librium instead. Does anyone have any experience with this drug? I'm anxious about losing the lorazepam as I feel like it's the only thing keeping me above water at the moment. On the other hand, I don't think it's working as much as it used to, so maybe Librium would be better? I'm also on venlafaxine and mirtazapine.

Librium is the same as chlordiazipoxide and I take that. (I think Librium is the old name) I have had no problems with it and no side effects. I was first prescribed it 10 years ago and was taking 4 a day but now only take it as and when I need it. It can be addictive but less so than lorazepam and I had no problems when I stopped taking it. I take it now if I get little blips or know I am going to be in an anxious situation.
