hi fisher,
this was one of my first symptoms, i thought i had food stuck and was taking pepto bismol, you name it, it went away on its own when another symptom replaced it, dont worry it sounds like anxiety to me, but if you are too concerned go to your gp for reassurance it will put your mind at ease.

Het there

I think I had a similar problem. I tried opening a packet of cigarettes with my teeth once and managed to swallow a piece of plastic wrapping. It caused me no end of irritation for 2 days and kept tickling my gag reflex at the back of my throat. It drove me insane. I was on the verge of going to the hospital to get it looked at when I went to sleep and woke the next morning it was gone. I think if you just give it a couple of days it will resolve itself. If it hasnt go to the doctor and he will be able to solve the problem easily. It could be anxiety but nothing life threatening will happen just annoyance.

Hi, I used to continually have that feeling, and still get it a couple of times a week. I decided to go to the doctor to get my throat checked, there was nothing there of course. The doctor told me that it is a response to panic. It made me feel better just knowing that there wasn't a tumor or anything life threatening. Maybe it would help you to go and get the doctor to take a look.
