Fluoxtine insomnia will it go

Well am on day 26 of fluoxtine and i still am not sleeping properly, i am taking a steroid dex which does not help but i wanted advice how long did it take for the insomnia

What time of day are you taking the fluoxetine and at what dosage? Try taking it in the morning if you're not already.

Fluoxetine is a very activating drug - however, sleep disturbances usually wear off the longer you take an SSRI. Fluoxetine takes a while to work - people still experience side effects at weeks 6 and 7, so give it time :)

Try chamomile tea before bed if you want a mild sedative to help you sleep. Works for me anyway. You can add some honey if you don't like the taste.

thanks for the advice i am taking fluoxtine 20mg, and i take in the mornings, have found some easy sleep tea, so am giving that a shot, i have been given sleeping tabs temazapam but they make me anxious the next day so trying to avoid now coming up to 5 week mark
