citalopram and mirtazapine

I am new. However I would like to know if anyone has been on this combination before. I am on 60mg. mirtazapine and 40mg of citalopram. Apparently dosages over 40mg. can cause heart electrical activity disruption or something like that. I haven't heard of too many people who are on this combo. I'm wondering if anyone has had good or bad experiences while mixing these two drugs?

hello there. I was on citalopram 20mg GP said I needed a higher dose but would not increase. Instead has put me on FLUOXETENE. He did not explain why he would not increse the citalopram perhaps that was why :shrug: Hope you get some good information. hopey

Not sure about this combination. My doctor switched me from Citalopram to Mirtazapine when I hit rock bottom. It didn't occur to me that you could take both at the same time.
