View Full Version : Logistics of 'getting better'?

Hi all,

Not sure if I'm posting in the right place, looking for some ideas or advice if possible.

I became unwell quite soon after leaving Uni, it's not a few years later and I'm trying to get back on track. Although I'm currently having trouble even getting out of my road I would like to have some sort of idea in my head as to things I can aim for rather than this general generic 'when I'm better I'm going to...'.

Most of my close friends are now spread around the country and although they've offered to come and see me I don't want to put them out for what could be 10mins of me freaking out lol. Basically I've cut myself off completely, am in a relatively new area (urban so although there are lots of things around there's lots of traffic, would take 30mins + to get anywhere).

Even though I don't really feel ready to be trying things like going out and socialising or going to the gym or whatever yet, I'm struggling to find a way back into it. It seems like it's either all or nothing. Unfortunately because of when I got ill my old life isn't still there for me to slip back into so...I'm not sure how to progress really.

Anyone else been in a similar situation or have any ideas??

Thanks for reading:)
