Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Hi all,

I seem to of got myself in a position where I don't really know what to do next. I suffered from anxiety for about 7 years on/off and now its starting to raise its self quite severely. I've had counselling thorugh the NHS and have been prescribed SSRI's in the past which did help to a degree. But I feel that I want to move on in my life and I'm sick to death of having this dead weight keeping me pinned down.

As I'm self employed I cant afford to let it affect my work so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

I guess the starting pointing is probably your doctor...

If that isnt something you dont want to consider then any self help groups which might be in your area, I can guess you can google that. Every area differs.

Would you consider taking the SSRI's again or, are you still on them?

If the counselling helped in the past, is that worth considering agan?

If you feel that the anxiety is starting to take over you more than you want, then you are right to face it head on.

Finally, if know of the above mentioned help, you have NMP site to visit and get advice from fellow sufferers and survivors.
