So.. I've just been diagnosed with OCD and trying to get my head around it/not obsess about what it might mean about me.

I am in my thirties and have had moderate-severe OCD/depression this year, peaking around the birth of my second son. I am managing well at this point after 23 sessions of CBT and a lot of work using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness.

I am just about to resume my MSc and will be going back to work after maternity in a few months, so interested in finding out about how people manage these types of tasks with OCD.

My OCD is in general harm/responsibility related and has generally been internal/"pure o" type but I did have some mild contamination and quite severe pregnancy-related intrusive imagery and imagery of harm coming to my loved ones for the first six months after birth. That has thankfully gone now and I feel like I can breathe again, it is amazing.

I would love to hear of others' experiences!
