I have been off work, well working at home, for 2 weeks now and am on my second week of taking Citalopram, first 10mg and now 20mg. The side effects haven't been too bad (touch wood) and I am starting to feel a bit more positive.

Tomorrow morning I am going to drive to work, stay there an hour and then come back, just to get used to things. My dad has kindly said he is going to follow me and wait while I am in there as I am not ready to do the drive on my own at this stage :(

Just gotta do little steps. At the mo it doesn't feel like I will ever get back to working etc but I need to stay positive and think that I will.

Has anyone got any tips for me tomorrow? Wish me luck please!! :)

Thats a massive step,Im sure you will be fine. You sound really positive.Your dad sounds a great support to you.Knowing he is there will put your mind at rest.I think you have done the right thing going in for an hour first.Like you said little steps at a time.;)
I was of work for two weeks not so long ago.It is hard going back, but once your there you will be proud of your self.
All the best for tomorrow.
Take care[^]

Oh how lovely of your dad - will you ask him to come and follow me about too.;):D

Having the support of people about you can make such a difference - just remember that you are not 'testing' yourself here, you are 'practising' and with practice we all get better at what we are doing.

Well done.:)

"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.

Wow good luck, you will be fine. I returned to work three weeks ago. I'm on citalopram too. It has been fine and i feel so much more confident now.
Taking one step at a time is great and you will grow in confidence as you make those achievements.
Well done you

Wow, thanks for your support everyone!!

I had a read of the responses before I left this morning and it made me feel really good.

I managed to get to work and stayed for an hour so I'm very pleased with myself at the moment.

It is early stages but at least I have made some progress :)

Hope everyone has a nice relaxing weekend xx
