I'm new here as well. My name is Kristie and I live in South Florida. I found this forum while researching panic and anxiety. I am lifetime worrier about everything, but specifically my and my family's health and money. I've been having real anxiety attacks for a few years, but I'm not really wanting to take anti-Ds for them. I take Xanax on occasion and do a lot of self talk. I know my fears are mostly irrational, but it's amazing how I can still let myself spiral into an unhealthy mess within minutes, you know?

This feels like a very friendly forum and it feels good to know I'm not alone here. And at least I won't be able to see you all roll your eyes at me if I share my latest worrisome thought, lol.

Cheers :)

thanks everyone! And Matilda--although it's sunny and amazing in the winter, right now is not a good time for panicking Floridians. We wait with for the tropics report everyday to make sure nothing is churning around by Africa and heading our way. . I lived here 35 years and never seen anything like 2004 and 2005. Last year, our areas was affected by Hurricane Wilma and it was our first year in our new house. Terrible time. I'm so grateful this hurricane season has been a bit more normal.
